Notes: Back to shorty-short chaps. *shrugs* Not a whole lot going on in this one, and I'm not entirely happy with it. Next one'll be big though: we'll finally find out what Min's thinking through all of this.

Chapter 10: Breaking
You watch Yoochun walk away, not quite believing what just happened. Jae kneels next to Min, pulling the boy into his arms in an attempt to still the shaking. Changmin chokes in short, stunted breaths as he clings desperately to Jae. But he's not crying, his eyes completely dry, and that makes you worry the most.
You're torn, though, between taking care of Min and following Chunnie. When you look back at Yunho, he tilts his head towards the door. His signal tells you to follow Chun; he and Jae will make sure Min's okay. You follow Yoochun's path from the bedroom.
He sits on his bed, staring at the wall. You curl up next to him and rest your head on his shoulder. He lays his head on top of yours but doesn't say anything. Times like these, he just needs someone next to him; you're more than happy to be that person.
The two of you sit in silence for a while before Yoochun finally sighs. "I really screwed up, didn't I?" The resignation and finality in his tone tells you he's already made up his mind; he just wants to hear you say it.
"You were angry, upset. We all know how you are when you get emotional." They're not the words he wants to hear, but you'll be damned if you condemn him the way he's already condemning himself. Truth is, though, you know this single incident could very well change everything. At the very least, Changmin and Jaejoong will never be able to look at him the same way again.
He shifts around so you can fully wrap your arms around him. He already knows these things, runs all the worst-case scenarios through his head even as you talk to him. He doesn't need the words from you; all he really needs is a little comfort and acceptance. "I really hurt him, Su-su. And that's exactly what I wanted to do. When I said… I didn't even think about it. It just came out. It scares me to think I can really be that cruel, to throw someone's biggest insecurities in their face like that."
You hold him tighter, run your hand through his hair then down his back. "If you were truly such a horrible person, Chunnie, you wouldn't be feeling so bad about it right now. You wouldn't even know what guilt was. You make mistakes, but you try to make up for them. That doesn't mean you're a cruel person, just that you're human like the rest of us."
You watch him process the thought, track the way his eyes dart around the room without actually seeing anything. Like they always do when he's thinking, almost like he's trying to visually follow the train of thought. "How was he? After I left?"
"I… I'm not sure. He was shaking, on the verge of hyper-ventilating. But he wasn't crying. It almost seems like he's forgotten how. He seemed so broken, Chun, but not just because of you. He's been hiding so much for so long, I think." You remember the hysterical, desperate look in Min's eyes, and you're thankful that Yoochun didn't get the chance to see it.
He cries then, and you're distantly surprised he didn't start earlier. You would have. You still want to, but one of the two of you has to hold the both of you together. You fight off the urge and sway gently back and forth in an attempt to calm him, even just a little bit. His tears are silent and soak the front of your shirt.

Hope Min finally begins to heal soon, but what Yoochun said must have really been devastating.
Min... *sighs* Guess we'll have to see what he's thinking in the next chap.

Update... as soon as possible. Gonna try to start on it during my fiction writing class today. *grins*
I'm torn between wanting you to hurry up and clear the air and make Changmin happy again so that I won't be sad anymore and wanting you to carry on as long as possible because I like reading your stories so much.
Usually I blame the evil person in the fic, or the author, but...

It's so sad for all of them, it's no one's fault. Sure Yoochun was pretty nasty to Changmin, but then I'd probably have done the same. ><
And Changmin... It's not his fault either. He didn't ask for all these stupid insecurities. Can't you insert some kind of annoying person, if only for a second, so I have someone to be mad at?
I can't be mad at you either, because while you make me oh-so-sad with all of this angst, I think it's also becoming one of my favourite fics. ♥ Can't wait for the next update dear. :)
And I'm glad you can't be mad at me. I don't like when people are mad at me... >_< Next chap is about half-way written already, so update sometime in the next couple days. *nods*
