Title: Missing
Pairings: JaeMin, YooSu
Rating: PG-13ish
Notes: I debated holding onto this for a bit but decided against it. Next part (Min's finally!) will definitely be posted Christmas day. Until then, I give you Junsu's part.
Summary: Sequel to Possession. Falling can mean so many things: falling into his arms, falling in love, falling out, falling to pieces, falling apart...
Previous: Possession, Bonus Scenes, Falling: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4Chapter 5: Missing Jae cries for the whole 45 minutes before you all have to leave to get to the dance studio. You can't blame him; you'd do the same in his position. He sits eerily still and silent in the van. At one point, you watch Yunho lean a bit closer to him, as if to check that he was still breathing.
Yoochun has his arms wrapped around your waist and his face buried in you shoulder. He cried, too. Partly because of the simple fact of the break-up but also because he just feels so bad for Jae, to see how much pain Jae is going through. He hasn't told you this, but you know it anyway.
You share a look with Yunho, and you understand that this will be one of those times that you'll have to step up. You're going to have to help him lead all of them through this mess. And you know you'll be talking to Min one-on-one first thing.
The four of you file out of the van, pause before realizing no one else was getting out. You wipe any remaining tears from Yoochun's cheeks before heading into the building. Out of the corner of your eye, you see Jae pulling his shoulders up to stand straight and tall.
You're a little bit early, so you start stretches and warm-ups to pass the time. The air in the room hang heavy with tension as everyone waits for Min's arrival, anxiety and uncertainty coloring every movement.
The clock hits your start time, and all four of you turn almost habitually to stare at the door. Expectant. Changmin has never been late, for anything. The door doesn't open. You release a breath and grip Chun's hand.
After five minutes, you all decide without words to give him five more. After those five, Yunho attempts calling him. No answer. You don't want to be worried. Twenty minutes after that, you put your phones down in defeat. Either he has his phone off, he doesn't have it with him, or he's ignoring all of you. That's all. One of those three.
Yunho looks in the mirror, stares at the reflections. He cancels practice. No one would have been able to dance anyway. As he walks away to alert your manager of the situation, you and Yoochun force Jae to sit down and take a few deep breaths. "Don't need you having a heart attack on us," you half-heartedly joke.
The ride home is possessed by a bouncy, nervous silence. Every second that ticks by is another opportunity for bad news. You try to quiet the old mom-line on repeat in your head: lying dead in a ditch somewhere on the side of the road. No. Not lying dead, in a ditch or anywhere else.
The problem is, you all still have that picture in your heads from just a few months ago. It's far too easy to imagine Min lying dead somewhere, because you'd watched him come way too close not long enough ago. And every time you close your eyes, you see him bleeding and broken.
It's not fair, you think. Not fair at all that you have to worry like this twice.

YOU BASTARD, WHAT DID YOU DO TO POOR JAE? T_____T
I've got a feeling he won't tell me...
Unless... to write the next chapter you say? So if you get him back now, you'll finish it much faster? *considers* Alright then. *hands you Min* ♥
Well, I may finish it faster, but I still won't post 'til Christmas. Just 'cause I'm mean like that. *grins, grabs Min and runs away*
*runs after you with rotten pineapples*
I blame you and your story ability XDha ha! okay i'm off!I will gladly take that kind of blame *giggleblush*Merry Christmas to you, too!! (Though hopefully you'll be back ON Christmas to read that chap... ^__^)
Poor Jaejoong though...poor everyone! It's affecting them all pretty badly. Changmin! What's going on in that head of yours?
It makes me happy that you're so excited. *grins*
It's not just Jae anymore, whatever the thoughts that are ruling Min's head and actions.
I hope Min doesn't stay oblivious for too long....it's hurting everyone, including Junsu, YooChun and Yunho. And if Min doesn't realize that, I hope he does soon.
And Min doesn't realize anything just yet. That'll become quite apparent in the next chap.
Min is... oh, gosh, I can't tell you in a reply and give it away to everyone!! Ask me in AIM, and I'll let ya know. *nods*
I won't kill you first for this, I guess I'll just wait patiently for the happy ending now. But, poor Jae. *hugs him*
Before I forget, MERRY CHRISTMAS!! And I hope to see more happy stuff from Falling after Xmas. :D
Yes, patience is key. *nods* It'll start getting better, eventually.
Merry Christmas back!! ^__^
*hops off to read the next chapter.
