Title: Five Takes
Pairings: JaeMin, YooSu
Rating: PG-13ish
Notes: It's finally heeeere!! Sorry I made y'all wait so long, but the Possession sequel is now officially underway. This first chap. is kinda more of a prologue with five different p.o.v's. I'll name 'em all at the end, but half the fun is guessing. *grins*
Summary: Falling can mean so many things: falling into his arms, falling in love, falling out, falling to pieces, falling apart...
Previous: Possession, Bonus ScenesChapter 1: Five Takes And now you have everything you'd ever wished for as a kid: a family who loves and supports you, friends with whom you've formed a second kind of family life, a career that is also your passion, and a lover that is a study of contradictions in the best way imaginable.
You knew from the beginning that he was going to be something special to you. He was strong and vulnerable, unsure and confident, mischievous and mature. The first time you'd looked into his eyes, you'd fallen into surprise and interest. He is your everything, and you aren't going to let him go for anything. So you have one more thing to look out for when it comes to your little family. With both couples set next to each other in the now-natural formation, temptations sometimes threaten to take over common sense. Most of the time, you only have to catch an eye to get your message across. Other times, they need a slightly firmer reprimand.
It doesn't matter. You wouldn't have them any other way. You'd never trade their subtle--or not, really--flirtations for better behavior. You find yourself relishing the outward signs of their happiness, their laughter and smiles. For right now, this is your definition of contentment. Everything should fall into place now. Everyone is happy, has what they want. Even those who happen to still be single seem satisfied with the way things are. So now you should be able to relax and just be with each other.
You're cautiously optimistic. You've learned through far too much experience that just when everything seems the most perfect, it all starts falling apart. You choose to believe, however, that won't happen here. You make a conscious decision to hope for the best, because right now, you have everything you never could have dreamed of. Something prevents you from feeling entirely at ease, but you can't be completely sure what that something is. Everyone is smiling again; you've all gotten to where you needed and wanted to be. And yet, something just doesn't feel quite right.
No one else seems to acknowledge this tenuous happiness, perhaps not wanting to jinx what you've all got. You want to yell out and make them see. At the same time, you don't want to condemn all of you to that kind of pessimism and heartbreak. So you keep your silence and hope that your fears will stay strictly subconscious. The uneasiness still creeps in on you at times. You stomp it down, push it out, but it always sneaks back. You'd thought, before, that finally solving the love problem would help everything else. If it's helped at all, the problems that cropped up after have blocked out that relief.
So you're back to hiding again, hoping they don't see you struggle against yourself. You wage war against your own mind and pray no one notices. Because you don't want to be that person. You don't want to be the one who's never satisfied. You've been given every opportunity in the world, in your career and your love-life and everything else. So why can't you just be normal, let this make you happy?
You don't know. And you're not sure how much longer you can take it.

Comments
I got Jaejoong, Yunho and Changmin right. Jaejoong, I figured, is the most optimistic one, and somehow I felt that Changmin was going to be his extreme opposite.
Sounds like it's going to be bucket loads of angst ahead, but I believe in happy endings...so I am going to believe in falling into his arms, falling in love, and pretend I didn't see the rest... :P
Buckets of angst... hmm... yeah, probably. *grins* I like happy endings, too. But, by all means, continue practicing your selective blindness. *laughs*
Oh no, the last one soonds like a promise to angst! NO!!! I dun wan anything bad to happen to Jaemin! I love Jaemin!!
Sigh, You better get the enxt one out soon, or else, hmph...I stalk you even in your sleep..hehehe..
What kind of story would this be if there were no angst? Just keep in mind, I love the JaeMin, too... *huggles them*
Hm, I'm not very interesting in my sleep, but feel free to stalk all you want. *giggls* Hopefully next one will be out soon.
(There will be angst, gotta happen, but it--most likely--will not end in angst. Sooo... yeah.)
The rest are also beautiful. I love your portrayals of all five, very acute I think.
I must bookmark this.
*blushes, grins* Thank you, and I'm glad you liked!!
Jae's is so sweet! 100% fairytale ending. <3
And Yunho's. And Yoochun's. And J- AHH, I LOVE ALL OF THEM! ^_________^
Can't wait for the next update!
Glad you liked them all! *grins*
But, yes, dark. It will be. 'Cause Min's just gotta be complicated like that... *sighs* At least I'm (tentatively) promising a happy ending!!
Angst ahoy! 'Tis what I'm good at. *nods*
